Tips and Tricks to Keep Your Candles Burning Beautiful and Throwing Great Scent!

1) Make sure to trim your wick after each use to 1/4 inch. This keeps your flame consistent as well as your scent throw. When the flame gets to big it will burn your wax faster and heat up your jars. This can be a problem when your candle has burned down quite a bit. I can make your jars to hot where they will crack and break. Then you have an unpleasant mess to clean up and that is no fun! Also, if the wick is to long it can produce soot and black smoke as well as mushroom on the top.

2) If your candle smokes when you blow it out because the wick doesn't completely go out, this is the best time to trim the wick. This way you don't have to think about it next time you light your candle. I trim mine after each use.
